Not at all.
This campout is designed to be beginner-friendly and guided. Many of our guests are first-time campers or families trying something new.
We provide structure, coordination, and a supportive environment—you just need to come prepared with the recommended gear.

Yes—this is a family-friendly experience.
Children are welcome, and the environment is designed to be safe, relaxed, and enjoyable for both adults and kids.
🔒 How is safety handled during the campout?
This is an organized group experience, not independent camping.

While this is a real outdoor environment, everything is structured to help you feel comfortable and supported.
🏝️ How difficult is the campsite setup?
You’ll walk approximately ¼ mile on sand from the ferry drop-off to the campsite.
👉 That’s why we recommend:
Packing light
Bringing a collapsible cart
This is manageable for most people but important to plan for.

Bathrooms available (~300 yards away)
Concession stand on-site
No uncontained open fires allowed

Bathrooms are available (approx. 300 yards from campsite)
No full indoor facilities like a hotel—this is a real outdoor experience
We recommend bringing a simple backup solution for convenience.
🎒 What do I need to bring?
You’ll need the basics for a comfortable beach camping weekend:
Tent
Sleeping setup (sleeping bag or cot + sheets + pillow)
Food & drinks + cooler
Portable stove (Coleman / butane)
Collapsible cart (very helpful for the walk on sand)
Optional but recommended:
Beach gear (umbrella, chairs, games)
Extra layers (it can get chilly at night)
Portable heater + propane tanks
